    Collaba: Visual environment

    Web portal interface

Collaba's web interface is made of modular XHTML + CSS, with a bit of JavaScript and AJAX. It is designed to be structured, coherent and efficient, yet fully customizable. The standard interface is intuitive, and has been used by people of all ages (from elementary school students to grand-parents).

    ENTERPRISE-GRADE VISUAL INTERFACE
Version 9 was a significant milestone for Collaba's visual interface, as it marked the introduction of our Enterprise Interface as a standard feature for the entire product line. All customers can now benefit from Collaba Enterprise Platform's modern and efficient user interface.

    Languages

At this time, Collaba is available in the languages listed below. More languages can be added by translating standard language files.

    • English
    • French

    On-line assistance

Help with Collaba is always a click away. Contextual help can be turned on at any time to get more information about a component you see. To learn how to use Collaba in details, an on-line help manual is available (additional help pages can be created on-line as needed). A site map helps users find their way through the portal, even though the portal is already well organized. If users encounter an issue, they can use a simple issue report page and the information or question they write will be relayed to the administrator.

    Efficiency / productivity / performance

Efficiency and productivity are important for keeping user interest high. The first step in achieving a good user interface efficiency is to provide keyword shortcuts throughout Collaba. Proficient users will greatly appreciate keyword shortcuts, as they do with any desktop application. Collaba also provides an optional acceleration client, which improves overall portal responsiveness, thus enhancing user experience.

    Security

Collaba provides an easy-to-enable HTTPS (SSL) service (requires a server-side SSL certificate). SSL can be used for portal authentication only, or for the entire Collaba session. Security level requirements can be imposed by server administrators, or left to users to decide what kind of security they want when they login.
